We will be together for four months, starting March 6th. During this period we are going to learn, in theory and in practice, about writing for academic purposes. We will focus more specifically on the process of writing argumentative texts. Below you can check the schedule for our course and you can also read about each of our writing tasks.
In addition to that, you will be introduced to how Wikispaces can be used as a teaching tool for creating a learning environment, where students can communicate with each other and work together. Wikis are often connected to a collaborative pedagogy based on the idea that learning is constructed in a cooperative community, by members who are actively involved in the process. Considering this perspective, technology can be seen as a facilitator in the process of social construction of knowledge, due to its many features that make online and distance information sharing possible.
I hope you enjoy our interactions during this semester!
